> This Markdown file is a plain-text twin of the article at the URL above. Same content, no page furniture. It is public, not bot-only.

Confirmed Stated on the product's own website, documentation or pricing page, checked on 29 October 2026.

Observed Something I have seen myself while building and using my own connector. I did not run hands-on tests of the other eight for this article.

Not documented I could not find it on the vendor's own pages. That does not mean it is missing, only that I could not confirm it.

Opinion My judgement as someone who reports on GA4, Search Console and Google Ads for clients every week. Yours may differ.

I made [Marketing Companion MCP](https://thejayant.in/marketing-data-mcp) (MKT MCP for short), the first option on this list. It is free for now, during its public beta. Nobody paid to be included or left out, and none of the other vendors reviewed this article. I have described every product, mine included, only from what its own pages say, and I have tried to show clearly where the big brands do more than mine. If you spot a mistake, [tell me](https://thejayant.in/#contact) and I will correct it.

- **There is no single best marketing data MCP.** The right one depends on how many platforms you report on, whether you already pay for a data platform, and whether you want the AI to change campaigns or only read them. Opinion
- **You want the widest source list on a small budget:** Windsor.ai. 350+ sources, MCP included on every plan, a forever-free tier, and it can pause, enable and edit ads. Confirmed
- **Your reporting is mostly Google (GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Merchant Center, Business Profile) plus Meta and CallRail:** MKT MCP (Marketing Companion MCP). 125 tools and 125 ready-made reports, a live dashboard inside the chat, and nothing but a Google sign-in to set up. It is in public beta and free for now. Confirmed
- **You already use Supermetrics, Funnel, Improvado or Adverity:** use that vendor's own MCP server, because your data, definitions and permissions are already there. Opinion
- **You want a read-only connection you can hand to a junior or a client:** Funnel (existing customers) or Porter Metrics (pay per connected account). Confirmed
- **You build client dashboards in an agency:** Two Minute Reports, where MCP is included on every plan and AI-made changes need a paid seat. Confirmed

A marketing data MCP is a connector that lets Claude or ChatGPT fetch your real numbers, from GA4, Google Ads, Meta and the rest, while you chat, instead of you exporting a CSV and pasting it in. It uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard both assistants use to call outside tools. The connectors differ in three ways that matter more than any headline source count: **where your data lives before the AI sees it**, **what the AI is allowed to change**, and **what you have to pay for before the connector works at all**.

This guide compares nine options I would consider in October 2026, from the big data-platform brands to smaller reporting tools. Every claim links to the vendor's own page and is labelled. Where a vendor's pages do not say something, the table says "Not documented" rather than guessing.

## 1. The comparison at a glance

Two tables: the first covers setup and cost, the second covers what the AI can read and change. On a phone, scroll each table sideways.

### Setup and cost

| Option | Data sources | Claude | ChatGPT | What you need first | Price |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| MKT MCP (Marketing Companion MCP) | 9 platforms: GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Merchant Center, Business Profile, Tag Manager, BigQuery (GA4 export), Meta, CallRail | Yes (one-link install, claude.ai, Desktop, Code) | Yes (custom connector) | A Google sign-in; Meta and CallRail optional | Free for now (public beta) |

### What the AI can read and change

| Option | Read or write? | What it can change | Sign-in | Stated limits |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| MKT MCP | Read by default; 14 write tools, each confirmed first | Business Profile only (replies, posts, photos, listing details) plus a one-time Merchant Center registration; never Analytics, Search Console, Ads, Tag Manager, BigQuery, Meta or CallRail | Google OAuth with PKCE; no database, encrypted stateless token | One tool call is one API request; BigQuery dry-runs and caps bytes billed |
| Windsor.ai | Read and write | Meta and Google Ads campaigns, ad sets, ads, budgets and keywords; pause, enable and budget on TikTok, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads; Instagram posts; Business Profile; Klaviyo flows; Amazon listings | OAuth 2.0 or API key | Not documented; long pulls return a pending job |
| Supermetrics | Read and write | Creates or modifies campaigns; new campaigns start paused | Not documented on the MCP page | Not documented |
| Funnel | Read-only | Nothing | OAuth; follows your Funnel permissions | Not documented |
| Improvado | Read and write | Extracts, loads and pipelines, including delete | OAuth with your Improvado login | 15-minute session lifetime |
| Adverity (beta) | Read, write and delete | Datastreams, destinations, mappings, users and more; every change previewed and approved first | Management API key | Warehouse queries: 100 rows, 30 seconds |
| Coupler.io | Read and analyse | Not documented | Not documented on the MCP page | Not documented |
| Two Minute Reports | Read; write with a seat | Dashboards, clients and accounts in Two Minute Reports | OAuth, or an MCP key for automations | 120 tool calls a minute per person |
| Porter Metrics | Read-only | Nothing in your ad accounts | Google sign-in | Some platforms lag up to 48 hours |

All rows come from each vendor's own pages, linked in the sections below and in the sources at the end, checked on 29 October 2026. These products change monthly and several are labelled beta, so confirm anything important on the vendor's page before you rely on it. Confirmed

## 2. How I compared them

I read each vendor's MCP documentation, product page and pricing page on 29 October 2026 and filled the tables only from those. I did not use directory listings or third-party reviews for facts, because several disagreed with the vendors' own pages: one listing still calls Windsor's MCP "free during beta", and source counts differ between pages of the same vendor. Where a vendor's pages disagree with each other, I say so. Confirmed

I judged them on what a marketer asking Claude or ChatGPT a reporting question actually needs to know:

- **Coverage:** are the platforms you report on there, and how deep does it go into each?
- **Entry cost:** what must you already pay for before the MCP works?
- **Blast radius:** if the AI misunderstands you, can it change a live campaign?
- **Honesty about the data:** does it tell the AI about sampling, thresholds and attribution differences, or leave the model to guess?
- **Reach:** which AI apps, and how hard is setup?

A bigger source count is not automatically better. If 90% of your reporting is GA4, Search Console and Google Ads, depth in those three matters more than 300 connectors you will never open. Opinion

## 3. MKT MCP (Marketing Companion MCP): best for Google-heavy reporting without a data platform

[Marketing Companion MCP](https://thejayant.in/marketing-data-mcp), MKT MCP for short, is a remote MCP server that connects Claude and ChatGPT straight to nine marketing APIs through 125 tools and 125 ready-made expert reports (presets). You add one URL, sign in with Google, and optionally add Meta and your own CallRail API key. There is no separate data platform to sign up for, and the server has no database: your connection lives inside an encrypted token only the server can open. It is in public beta and free for now, and was previously called Marketing Data MCP. Confirmed

- **Depth on Google.** GA4: 17 tools and 24 presets, including realtime, pivot, funnel, cohort and multi-property reports and the Admin API. Search Console: striking-distance queries, period comparison, URL Inspection and up to 10 sites at once. Google Ads: 34 presets, GAQL, Keyword Planner, Reach Planner and one query across every client of a manager account. Merchant Center: product status, price competitiveness, best sellers and competitive visibility.
- **Local SEO.** 45 Google Business Profile tools for every location you manage: unanswered reviews, replies, posts, photos, daily performance and monthly search keywords.
- **Tracking checks.** A Tag Manager container audit scored out of 100, and read-only BigQuery queries on the raw GA4 export with a free dry run and a cap on bytes billed.
- **A dashboard inside the chat.** Ask for your marketing dashboard and ChatGPT or Claude opens an interactive one across GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Merchant Center, Business Profile and CallRail, with filters and period comparison.
- **Guardrails.** Every response carries the platform's known limits, so the AI says "Auction Insights is not in the Google Ads API" or "Meta and GA4 conversions will not tie out" instead of inventing a number.
- **Reads first.** The only tools that change anything are 13 Business Profile tools and one Merchant Center registration, and they are marked as write actions so Claude and ChatGPT ask before running them.

**Where it falls short:** it covers nine platforms, not hundreds. There is no TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Shopify, HubSpot or Salesforce, and no scheduled exports to a sheet or warehouse, because it queries the platforms live rather than storing data. It is a public beta built by one person, Meta access and the Google Ads developer token depend on outside approvals, and it has no published compliance certifications such as SOC 2. It cannot change your ad campaigns, which is a limit if you want that and a safeguard if you do not. Observed

**Best for:** SEOs, local businesses, ecommerce teams and agencies whose reporting is mostly Google plus Meta and calls, who want deep, ready-made answers and an in-chat dashboard without paying for a data platform first. Opinion [See the one-minute setup](https://thejayant.in/marketing-data-mcp#setup) or [what each platform covers](https://thejayant.in/marketing-data-mcp#platforms).

## 4. Windsor.ai: best for the most sources on a small budget

[Windsor MCP](https://windsor.ai/windsor-mcp-for-ai-insights/) is the hosted MCP server of Windsor.ai, a marketing data integration platform with 350+ sources, including Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft and Pinterest Ads, GA4, HubSpot, Salesforce, Klaviyo, Shopify, Stripe, BigQuery and Snowflake. It is listed in Claude's connector directory and its [technical reference](https://mcp.windsor.ai/llms.txt) names Claude (Desktop, web and Code), ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Grok and n8n among the clients. Sign-in is OAuth 2.0, or an API key. Confirmed

- **MCP is on every plan.** The [pricing page](https://windsor.ai/pricing/) starts with a 30-day trial, then Forever Free (1 source, 1 account). Paid plans run from Basic at $19 a month billed yearly ($23 monthly) for 3 sources, through Standard ($99), Plus ($249) and Professional ($499), to Enterprise.
- **It writes, a lot.** 18 tools, including `execute_action`: create, pause, enable and update Meta and Google Ads campaigns, ad sets and ads; set budgets and bids; manage keywords and negatives; pause, enable and budget on TikTok, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads; Instagram posts; Business Profile posts, replies and hours; Klaviyo flows; Amazon listings. Windsor calls it "the end of the read-only era".
- **Exports too.** The AI can set up scheduled exports to a destination as well as answer questions.
- Rate limits and usage caps are **not documented** on the MCP pages.

**Best for:** freelancers and small teams who report across many ad networks and want one cheap connector, and anyone who wants Claude or ChatGPT to make campaign changes. If you turn on write actions, keep Claude's tool approval on "ask", because a pause or budget change spends real money. Opinion

**Looking for a Windsor.ai alternative?** If you want more sources than Windsor, look at Funnel or Improvado; if you want the AI to be unable to touch campaigns, Funnel and Porter Metrics are read-only; if your work is mainly Google and local SEO, MKT MCP goes deeper into those platforms. Opinion

## 5. Supermetrics: best if you already pipe data with Supermetrics

Supermetrics offers two routes. Its [MCP server documentation](https://docs.supermetrics.com/docs/mcp-server) (updated 27 August 2026) says the MCP server is a standalone product "for technical users" building their own integration, with n8n and custom agents as examples, and that most people who just want to chat with their data should use Supermetrics AI chats, which connects Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini Enterprise and Microsoft Copilot. Its [Claude use-case pages](https://supermetrics.com/use-cases/claude/google-ads-new-campaign-launch-setup) describe enabling it from Claude's Connectors. Confirmed

- **Needs API access.** The MCP server is "available for all users with a valid Supermetrics subscription with access to the Supermetrics API." The [pricing page](https://supermetrics.com/pricing) lists Starter at $39 a month billed yearly ($49 monthly) and Growth at $159 ($199), with the Data API listed among Enterprise features. Which plan includes the MCP is **not clearly documented**. A 14-day trial needs no card.
- **It can create campaigns.** The docs list natural-language questions, health, pacing and alert checks, and creating or modifying campaigns. "New campaigns start in a paused state so you can review settings before going live."
- **Security:** the use-case pages say Supermetrics is SOC 2 Type II certified and queries platforms on demand rather than storing raw ad data.
- The tool list, sign-in method and limits are **not documented** on the MCP page.

**Supermetrics MCP vs Windsor.ai MCP:** both connect many ad and analytics sources and both can change campaigns. Windsor puts MCP on every plan including a free one and publishes its tool list; Supermetrics is the bigger, certified enterprise brand, but its MCP sits behind API access and its own docs steer non-developers to AI chats. Opinion

**Best for:** teams already paying for Supermetrics, especially those building agents or n8n workflows on top of it. Opinion

## 6. Funnel: best for large, governed data that the AI should only read

[Funnel MCP](https://funnel.io/funnel-mcp) connects your Funnel Data Hub, "600+ channels", to Claude (listed in Claude's directory), ChatGPT (listed in ChatGPT's apps directory), Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini and other MCP clients. Its [setup guide](https://help.funnel.io/en/articles/15502539-connect-funnel-mcp-from-funnel-ai) (updated 23 August 2026) says you copy your server URL from Funnel AI and sign in with OAuth. Confirmed

- **Read-only tools.** The guide says you "query Funnel data from that client with read-only tools."
- **Business context, not just numbers.** The AI also sees your budgets, targets, custom metric definitions and naming conventions, and Funnel Measure customers get marketing mix modelling, attribution and incrementality results.
- **Permissions carry over** from Funnel, and the page lists GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.
- **Customers only.** There is no MCP price; you need a Funnel workspace, and newcomers are sent to book a demo. Rate limits are **not documented**.

**Best for:** mid-size and enterprise marketing teams already on Funnel who want everyone to ask questions of one agreed set of numbers, with no risk of the AI editing anything. Opinion

## 7. Improvado: best for enterprise teams that want the AI to manage pipelines

The [Improvado MCP documentation](https://improvado.io/docs-section-topic/improvado-mcp) lists 84 tools over JSON-RPC, with OAuth sign-in using your Improvado login, and clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, the ChatGPT app, Codex, Gemini CLI, Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Copilot. The docs cite more than 1,400 platforms and 46,000+ harmonised metrics; Improvado's [MCP marketing page](https://improvado.io/mcp-marketing) cites 500+ connectors, so the count depends on the page. Confirmed

- **Read and write.** Tools cover data queries and dashboards, plus create, update, pause, resume and delete for extracts, loads and pipelines.
- **Credentials stay with Improvado,** stored AES-256 encrypted; the docs cite SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA and ISO 27001.
- **Still labelled experimental in the URL** (`/experimental/agent/api/mcp-customer/`), with a 15-minute session lifetime.
- Pricing is **not published**; you need an Improvado account.

**Best for:** enterprise analytics teams already on Improvado who want an agent to run reporting and maintain the pipelines behind it. Give the AI a role that cannot delete pipelines unless you mean it to. Opinion

## 8. Adverity: best for data teams who want approvals on every change

[Adverity MCP](https://docs.adverity.com/guides/mcp/mcp-setup.html) is in beta. It connects Claude through a custom connector, and ChatGPT only on a Business or Enterprise plan, where an admin creates the connector. You sign in with your Adverity instance address and a Management API key, and "the key permissions determine what actions AI can perform." Confirmed

- **37 tools** for datastreams, authorisations, fetches and errors, extracts, transformations, mappings, destinations, users, notifications, data-quality monitors and warehouse queries ([using Adverity MCP](https://docs.adverity.com/guides/mcp/using-mcp.html)).
- **Two-step writes.** Every write or delete returns a preview first and only applies after you approve. Some deletes, such as a datastream, are irreversible.
- **Warehouse queries are read-only** and capped at 100 rows and 30 seconds.
- Pricing is **not published**.

**Best for:** data and marketing-ops teams on Adverity who want an assistant to monitor and fix pipelines, not just read campaign numbers. Opinion

## 9. Coupler.io: best for asking questions of data flows you already built

[Coupler.io's MCP](https://www.coupler.io/mcp) lets Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other assistants work with data from its 400+ sources, such as HubSpot, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Shopify, Xero and QuickBooks. The AI reads the data flows you have set up in Coupler.io, and you can also upload CSV files. Confirmed

- **Plan:** the MCP page says "You need to be on at least the Professional plan and have data flows configured." The current [pricing page](https://www.coupler.io/pricing) names its plans Free, Starter ($24 a month billed yearly), Active ($99), Pro ($199) and Custom, so confirm which one that means. There is a 7-day trial.
- **Strong on finance and CRM sources** next to ad platforms, which suits blended marketing-and-revenue questions.
- Write actions, sign-in method and limits are **not documented** on the MCP page.

**Best for:** teams already using Coupler.io to move data into sheets or BI tools, who want to question those same flows in chat. Opinion

## 10. Two Minute Reports: best for agencies building client dashboards

[Two Minute Reports MCP](https://twominutereports.com/help/mcp) runs at `mcp.twominutereports.com/mcp`. AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Perplexity sign in with OAuth (the server supports dynamic client registration, so most need only the URL), and automations such as n8n or Make use an MCP key. Its [MCP page](https://twominutereports.com/mcp) lists Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Shopify, Amazon Ads, GA4, TikTok and Snapchat Ads among the sources. Confirmed

- **Reading needs no seat; changing does.** Tools such as `create_dashboard`, `update_client` and `enable_account` need a team permission and a paid seat, and an MCP key only exposes the tools its scopes allow.
- **A stated rate limit:** 120 tool calls a minute per person.
- **MCP on every plan.** The [pricing page](https://twominutereports.com/pricing) lists MCP on Lite (from $81 a month billed yearly), Pro and Business, with a 14-day trial.

**Best for:** agencies that already build client reports in Two Minute Reports and want the AI to answer questions and set up dashboards per client, with permissions by role. Opinion

## 11. Porter Metrics: best for a cheap, read-only start

[Porter Metrics' MCP](https://help.portermetrics.com/en/articles/180-how-to-connect-porter-to-claude-mcp) runs at `mcp.portermetrics.com/mcp` and connects Claude Desktop, claude.ai and Claude Code, with a Porter plugin in Claude's connector marketplace; a separate [ChatGPT guide](https://portermetrics.com/en/tutorial/ai/chatgpt-mcp/) covers ChatGPT on a paid plan. You sign in with the Google account linked to your Porter workspace. Confirmed

- **Read-only:** the help page says Claude "cannot change anything in your ad accounts."
- **Included in your plan.** Porter [charges per connected account](https://help.portermetrics.com/en/articles/150-how-porter-metrics-pricing-work): $15 a month for one, falling per account as you add more (a flat $100 for 13–20), about 17% off yearly.
- **Sources:** GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Shopify and "20+ more". Some platforms lag up to 48 hours, which can return empty results.

**Best for:** a freelancer or small business with a handful of accounts who wants Claude to read ad and analytics numbers safely, paying only for what is connected. Opinion

## 12. Which marketing data MCP should you choose?

Answer these in order and stop at the first yes:

1. **Do you already pay for Supermetrics, Funnel, Improvado, Adverity, Coupler.io or Two Minute Reports?** Start with that vendor's MCP. Your sources, metric definitions and permissions are already set up there.
2. **Do you want Claude or ChatGPT to create, pause or re-budget ad campaigns?** Windsor.ai documents the widest set of write actions; Supermetrics creates campaigns paused for review.
3. **Do you report across many ad networks, CRMs or shops on a small budget?** Windsor.ai, or Porter Metrics if you want it read-only and priced per account.
4. **Are you an enterprise team that needs SOC 2 or ISO 27001 and governed metrics?** Funnel for read-only, Improvado or Adverity if the AI should also manage pipelines.
5. **Is your reporting mostly GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Merchant Center and Business Profile, with Meta and calls, and do you want answers and a dashboard in the chat without buying a data platform?** Use [MKT MCP](https://thejayant.in/marketing-data-mcp#setup), which is free for now.

Whichever you pick, three habits matter more than the connector: connect with the least-privileged account that works, keep write tools on "ask" rather than "always allow", and check one answer against the platform's own interface before you trust the rest. If a connector cannot tell you why Search Console query clicks do not add up to the site total, your AI will fill that gap with a guess. Opinion

## 13. Frequently asked questions

### What is the best marketing data MCP for Claude?

There is no single best one. Windsor.ai covers the most sources for the money and can change campaigns. Funnel, Improvado, Adverity and Supermetrics suit teams already on those platforms. MKT MCP goes deepest on Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Google Ads, Merchant Center and Business Profile, plus Meta and CallRail, with a dashboard inside the chat and only a Google sign-in to set up.

### What is a good Windsor.ai alternative for Claude and ChatGPT?

It depends on why you are leaving. For more sources and enterprise governance, Funnel or Improvado. For a read-only connection, Funnel or Porter Metrics. For agency client dashboards, Two Minute Reports. For deeper Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, Merchant Center and Business Profile reporting without a separate data platform, MKT MCP.

### What is the difference between the Supermetrics MCP and the Windsor.ai MCP?

Both connect many marketing sources to AI assistants and both can change campaigns. Windsor.ai includes its MCP on every plan, including a free one, and publishes its 18 tools. Supermetrics' MCP needs a subscription with Supermetrics API access, is aimed at technical users, and its docs point non-developers to Supermetrics AI chats instead.

### Can a marketing MCP change my ad campaigns?

Some can. Windsor.ai can create, pause, enable and re-budget Meta and Google Ads campaigns and pause or budget TikTok, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads, and Supermetrics can create or modify campaigns, starting new ones paused. Funnel and Porter Metrics are read-only. MKT MCP never writes to Google Ads or Meta; its only write tools are for Google Business Profile and a one-time Merchant Center registration, and they ask first.

### Do I need a data platform account to use a marketing MCP?

For most of them, yes. Windsor.ai, Supermetrics, Funnel, Improvado, Adverity, Coupler.io, Two Minute Reports and Porter Metrics all read data you have first connected to their platform. MKT MCP connects to the marketing APIs directly with a Google sign-in, plus optional Meta and CallRail, and has no database of its own.

### Which marketing data MCP servers work with ChatGPT?

Windsor.ai, Funnel, Improvado, Coupler.io, Two Minute Reports, Porter Metrics and MKT MCP all document ChatGPT support. Supermetrics connects ChatGPT through its AI chats product, and Adverity's beta needs a ChatGPT Business or Enterprise plan.
